M. Weatherford Testimonial

God called our family to homeschool in 2012. We had a lot of questions and did not know anyone in our area that homeschooled. We prayed and God led us to REACH, a faith based homeschool support group. Our family learned quickly how helpful and encouraging REACH can be. We were guided in finding homeschool resources, such as curriculum, our state homeschool support group CHEWV, and HSLDA. Besides the guidance of finding these resources we have also had much encouragement and built many lifelong friendships. REACH has blown the doors off the stereotyped notion of “unsocialized” homeschool kids. REACH has provided a multitude of opportunities for our son to get involved and make new friends. In addition to the multiple educational opportunities provided, like the scheduled cooperatives in spring and fall, and extracurricular activities, such as the civic based Generation Joshua, REACH provides many fun opportunities for kids and families to connect, including a spring formal (prom) and pool days throughout the summer. REACH has even sponsored multiple events, such as rock climbing and paintball, which are perfect for our adventurous teenage boy. But most of all, REACH has accomplished this in a Christ centered program free from the obscenity, drama and cliques found in so many of both public and private area schools. This transfers as well to the parents, where all are welcome, even those of us who reside outside the Raleigh County area. This organization has truly been a blessing to our son, as well as our entire family. Back to testimonals
