R.E.A.C.H. Events & Activities

Throughout the year we offer a variety of events and activities to support and encourage homeschool families through physical activities, social interactions, field trips, and much more. Here are a few of the activities you can look forward to as a member of REACH.

What to Expect as a Member of R.E.A.C.H.

Co-op Classes - Co-op is a cooperative effort by parents to offer REACH students an environment where they can learn together in a group setting. It is held on Fridays for 6 consecutive weeks, in both the fall and the spring. We currently serve 125 R.E.A.C.H members ages birth - high school. Learn more about Co-op.

Gym & Swim - Children participate in learning basic water skills and gym activities once a week for 5 consecutive weeks (fall & spring).

Mom's Night Out - Where we discuss different areas of homeschooling and offer support for one another.

Field Trips - We schedule several field trips throughout the year. Trips in the past have included Natural Bridge in VA, Organ Caves, Frontier Cultural Museum in VA, Someplace Special Gem Mine, the capitol in Charleston, and Raleigh Co. Solid Waste Authority.

Other Activities - We offer an annual Field Day in the fall, Skate Days and bowling outings throughout the school year, and Park Days & Pool Days in the summer. We meet once a month. Activities vary between educational and fun social events.

REACH HIGH is a fast-growing group made up of junior high and high school students. Activities this year included paintball, basketball, and volleyball clinics, a canoe outing, picnics, ice skating, and geocaching to name a few. REACH HIGH is a great way for your pre-teen/teen to interact and participate in fun activities with their peers!
