We have a lot of learning and fun planned for our Elementary kid's grades K-5th! 

Timeline of events: Subject to change as needed.

10-10:30

     Read the story “The Pilgrim’s First Thanksgiving by Ann McGovern

     Board activity: Compare Thanksgiving Long Ago to today traditions

10:30-12:30

    Talk about the day and life of a pilgrim and explain stations

     8 stations switch every 15 minutes (Stations will be set up in the Gym ahead of time around the room)

Station 1: The pilgrims wrote with a feather quill

      Students will write their name with fancy letters and a quill

Station 2: The pilgrims made quilts (will put together to form a friendship quilt)

       K-2:   will glue on paper triangles to make quilt pieces

       3-5:   will hand sew quilt squares together

Station 3: The pilgrims cooked

       Students will make a no-bake individual pumpkin pie from pudding cups and graham crackers. 

Station 4: The pilgrims planted a garden.

       Students will decorate a paper cup and plant corn seeds

Station 5: The pilgrim’s hunted.

        Students will hunt for different animals hidden around the room and write numbers/names on cards.

Station 6: The pilgrims built their houses.

        K-2:  Students will color and glue pretzels to a worksheet.

        3-5:  Using pretzels to build a house (still working on an idea, but a little more challenging than K-2)

Station 7: The pilgrims fished.

       Students will play a math game while fishing for clues.

Station 8: The Pilgrims made clothing.

      Students will make a bonnet or hat. (Will use for skit)

12:30-1:00

      Short Skit

      Sharing time

Make a review bracelet or give a kit to take home depending on time.

1:00 Dismiss/ Lunch (brought from home)
